Two Faiths, 150 Years: the Moravian and Catholic Churches in Chaska"
April - September 2008

Exhibit Photos

150 Years. Six to Nine Generations. That's how long the Moravian Church and Guardian Angels Catholic Church have been in Chaska. Through the frontier years, through the many floods, through many pastors and priests and changes, these institutions of faith have endured.

So view this display through the stained glass of two faiths. Faiths that encouraged bonds in the community beyond the family, that welcomed newcomers whose shared faith brought smiles. Faiths that gave thousands hope when flood, fire, or storms destroyed all they had. Faiths that underlined the values of integrity and honesty and service to others that we still hold in Chaska today.
